Pinjore Garden of Chandigarh
The Pinjore Garden is located in Pinjore, district Panchkula, Haryana. Pinjore garden is also known
as Yadavindra Garden. It is my hometown and I will share with you all
the details in this article. It is an example of the Mughal Garden style and
was built by Patiala Dynasty Rulers. The garden is in the Pinjore lie 22 km
from Chandigarh on the Ambala-Shimla road. It was built by architect Nawab Fidai Khan, in the 17th century.
How to reach Pinjore Garden from Chandigarh
Pinjore Garden is 22 Km away from Chandigarh. You can reach the Pinjore garden with the following transport.
1. Train - You need to take a train from Chandigarh to Kalka and then take a Taxi from Kalka to Pinjore Garden. Not a recommended option as the distance is small and very few trains are available.
2. Bus - You can take direct Buses from Chandigarh Bus stand from Sector 43 to Pinjore. This is the cheapest way to reach Pinjore from Chandigarh.
3. Taxi - You can hire a taxi from Chandigarh to Pinjore. Toll tax will be extra at Chandimandir Toll-Tax's point.
Pinjore Garden timings
Pinjore Garden is open every day from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The best day to visit the Pinjore garden is Saturday and Sunday.

25 Rupees per head entry ticket is levied by Haryana tourism to enter inside the Pinjore garden. You can visit directly to Pinjore Garden and take your tickets at the entry gate. No online booking is required.

The parking facility is easily available for all visitors for Buses, Cars, and Motorbikes, etc.
Outside of the Pinjore Garden
Near the entry gate of Pinjore garden, you will find lots of fun activities for kids like horse riding, camel riding, Toy trains and lots of play activities to have fun. Ply zone is also available for all kinds of magical rides and swings.

It has
downward seven stories, opposite of upward typical Mughal style. Seven stories the garden gives a magical view from the top.

center of Pinjore Garden, you will find the Jal Mahal surrounded by

drinks for visitors. It is the most attractive place to sit for a moment and
have some clicks with your camera. Here you will also found photo studios to
click your professional photos.

Mahal is made up of beautiful glasshouses of Mughals. It is situated on the outer right side of the Entry gate of the Pinjore Garden, which is reserved for
a special purpose and open very occasionally for all.
Special Programs of Pinjore Garden
Every
year Majorly two festivals are celebrated in Pinjore garden – Baisakhi Mela and
Mango Mela
Baisakhi Mela in Pinjore Garden
Baisakhi fair in Pinjore Garden - on April 13 and 14 of every Year.
On April 13th and 14th, Baisakhi Mela is organized by Haryana
tourism every year. In the day time, few programs are presented by Artists and
art and craft stalls are also organized for the visitors. In the evening,
cultural programs are organized in which singers from Punjab and Haryana are
called for the performances.
Mango Mela in Pinjore Garden
In June
and July, Mango Mela (Mango Fair) is held every year. This Mela lasts for
two or three days. In the day time, several types of Mangoes are exhibited to
the visitors. Most famous Mangoes are Haathi Mangoes, tiny mangoes and several
hundred types of Mangoes are exhibited. In the evening time, cultural programs
are organized for visitors these days, which includes dancing and singing activities.
